Joshua stood before Israel and made a decision for his whole household before anyone else did. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. That is still the calling every man at Bethel is invited into. Not a program to attend, but a household to lead.
Our Mission
Our mission is to challenge and equip men to embrace their God-given roles as spiritual leaders in their homes, workplaces, and communities. We desire to see men grow into mature, Christ-centered individuals who lead by example, love their families wholeheartedly, and take responsibility for serving God in every sphere of life.
Encouraging Leadership and Fellowship
We believe men are called to serve as the priests of their homes and heads of their families, leading with humility, justice, and love. That is a high calling, and no man carries it well alone. Our Men's Ministry exists to give men a place to gather, to be honest about where they are falling short, and to build one another up toward the men God has called them to be.
Opportunities to Connect and Grow
Men's Breakfast
Every Wednesday, 7:00 AM Panera Bread
A weekly, low pressure gathering. No agenda beyond good coffee, honest conversation, and the encouragement that comes from showing up for each other week after week. Come once or come every week. Either way, you are welcome at the table.
Ink & Ale Society
Third Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November,
6:30 PM Crying Eagle, McNeese Street
A smaller gathering built around reading and conversation. Every other month, a group of men sit down with a good drink and a good book, and talk honestly about what they are learning, wrestling with, and building their lives on. It is fellowship for men who want their faith sharpened, not just affirmed.
A Word to Every Man at Bethel
You do not need to have your life in order to walk into either of these gatherings. You do not need to already be the spiritual leader your family needs. Most of us are still becoming that man.
What we are asking is simpler. Show up. Let other men know how you are actually doing. Let Scripture and honest friendship start shaping the way you lead at home, at work, and in this church.
If you have questions, or you want to know more before your first gathering, reach out directly.
